Team Mac

Big News Guys;
I am officially apart of Team Mac!

Okay, well it's big news to me!
I can finally get back into the bloggery world now that I have a laptop again.

*RIP my awesome Toshiba that lasted forever but was no match for my fur pup Harley.*
but hello gorgeous.

I'm completely smitten over here, so stay tuned while I navigate this big transition from PC to MAC.

I'll have some great Before & After's up for you all this week!

If you have any tips or short cuts for certain things a mac newbie wouldn't know I'd love to hear them! Leave a comment down below or post it to my wall on Facebook! {link here}

Hope you had a great memorial day weekend!

xoxo

Grey Washed Beauty

It is totally normal to fall in love with furniture ya?
okaaaaay fine maybe not. don't judge me!

Lately I have been pretty obsessed with the look of flat black & driftwood like stain.
I actually hadtohave more like begged my husband to let me get a *new to me* old bedroom set that was for sale before we moved. Once I got it home it just spoke to me & said "hey! I want to be painted black!"
because whose furniture doesn't speak to them.......?
 There was some trial and error, walnut stain just didn't look right with the black, or it wasn't the look I was going for. & that's when I came up with this lovely color combo.

Anyways, back to the main focus here
 I picked this lovely buffet recently and I knew it was the perfect piece to refinish in my favorite new color scheme.

The before picture just doesn't do this piece justice. It was in pretty bad shape before I got my hands on it.
It probably would have been lovely restained but I had bigger plans for it.
In person this beauty is gorgeous! It had my parents wanting to redo their entry haha. oops.

I love the details of this piece.
If I had a place for this, I would totally keep it! This has to be my second favorite flip to date.

I love the look of the two different knobs.

*SOLD*
Check out my Facebook page for more items for sale in the Greater Seattle area.
Thanks!

Life Lately;

Lately things have been pretty hectic to say the least.

To start, rewind about 6 months ago, {seriously time fly's} my husband got out of the Marine Corps and we rented our home in North Carolina and moved back to our home state of Washington. Our initial plan for "life after the marine corps" fell through so plan B was to move back in with my parents and save some money & go back to school. I start Interior Design School in the fall and my husband is currently using his G.I. Bill for Graphic Design // Web & Multimedia Design. We will be moving to downtown Seattle in the Fall most likely. Life lately has been such a roller coaster, ever since we have been home its been go go go to figure everything out and things are FINALLY starting to calm down. In the midst of everything I broke my laptop {ooooops} which has led to a dead bloggery silence, soooooorry!
But now that everything has settled, for now, I'll be getting back into the swing of things around here on the blog! My Facebook page has been pretty active recently so make sure you "like it" to be kept in the loop :) {link here}

As for furniture refinishing, I've pretty much picked up where I left off in North Carolina, I have been getting a ton of business lately and can't wait to share with you all the lovely before & afters! While going to Interior Design school in the fall I will still be doing furniture on the side so if you are local {Seattle-Everett area} feel free to contact me if you need some pieces refinished :)

I'll be back tomorrow with a sweet before & after. Until then here are some pictures from our cross country trip from NC to WA:
