Grown Up Little Girl Rooms

Lately I have been getting a ton of custom requests for little girls rooms.
Everyone is switching to their "big girl rooms" & it is so nice to get to play with fun colors!
I had a chance to work with two very sweet ladies recently so I thought I would share both of their furniture transformations in one post since their daughters rooms were both in a state of transition.
Two completely different looks but two adorable looks ;)

First off we will start with Dalia's Little Girls room:
For her daughters room she wanted something white & metallic for her head board & night stands:

Before:

Juuuuuuuuuust kidding.
I completely blanked on this portion of the project. Whoopsies!
Before they were all white with antique hardware {the french looking ones}
So we opted to modernize them to go with a different feel for the room.

After:

I love the look of the two tones, it really makes it pop
yet, is still neutral enough that it could go anywhere in a home other than a little girls room :)

I really love the detail on these night stands, the charming character of them really meshes well with the new modern hardware & silver metallic paint.

I really wish I would have taken before pictures because one of the biggest transformations was the hardware, changing it to modern silver knobs with detail around them & a bin pull made a HUGE difference.

They turned out soo good.
This was my first project using metallic paint on furniture & I don't think it will be my last.

I really love how the drawers trick you into thinking their are 4 but in all reality these are just two drawers!
I love extra hardware ;)

& I was in the process of moving these out to the truck to deliver them when I realized I didn't get a picture of this super cute headboard so I'm sorry for the presentation haha!

This was such a fun set to work on! I loved how girly but grown up it came out.

You can never go wrong with white & grey! :)

& Now for the other little girls room.
I loved that she wanted to play with fun bold colors.
I remember back in the day when I had a Hot Pink & Purple room.
It must just be a phase every girl goes through haha!
This bookcase has totally captured my heart.
I want to be a little girl again so I can have it in my room!

Before:

This nightstand had seen many lifes,
orange, blue, grey, green, ect.
It was fun to see all the colors when I sanded it down.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!
Therefore. The hot pink was already painted haha :)
Before it was all orange & blue.

After:

Are you in love?
Because I so am.

Please excuse the hot pink section, it was still drying,
I was just too excited with how it all turned out.

I loved this whole two tone feel that both projects had going on.
The hot pink really popped against the dark purple.

The arc on the sides on the bookcase really make a huge impact on the whole feel of this bookcase.
I couldn't picture it any other way now.
The colors look so good for a little girls room!

When my client came to me with these cute little hooks I was smitten,
they really tie the two colors together.

So what do you guys think?!
It was so fun to work for both clients & their daughters rooms.
Its a nice change from all the "grown up" furniture I do.
Color is always a fun experience.
Have you guys fallen in love with any bold or fun colors lately?!

Claw Foot Beauty

I think by now we can all agree that I have a weakness for furniture with cute feet,
I mean it really makes the piece special!
When it comes to the furniture pieces in my home I like to keep things neutral in color & to not have stuff too match-y match-y.
I have been waiting & waiting, & waiting some more for the perfect end table to match the one I currently have in my living room.

And I am so excited that I have finally found it!
Before we just had my dogs kennel beside the couch.
Not too appealing to the eyes right?
Well bye bye kennel & Hello Beautiful Circle Claw Foot Table!

Before:

Before it wasn't in too bad of condition, the top of the table just needed to be sanded all the way down because it had some stains & was chipping away. It was a very quick & easy transformation with this cute little side table.

After:

I think it's safe to say that I can be obsessed with this table.
I mean look at it! I love the details.

These feet kill me every time! Swooning.

Right now I am really into the look of dark walnut & white.
They just compliment one another so well & it feels so coastal to me.

Another close up of the white & dark walnut contrast.

I love round tables! They are such a fun element instead of the regular square round tables.
They don't take up as much space & are unique.

What do you think of this beauty? Are you now wanting a white circle claw foot table to?!
This beauty will be for sale shortly.
We are in the process of getting a new couch so we will have to change our furniture around accordingly.
I will be posting it within a few weeks so keep checking back on my shops page inventory here or here :)
A few new items were added so check it out & let me know if you are interested in anything!
Also don't forget that I custom paint furniture as a living for more info click here.
Have a great Sunday!

July Birchbox

Have you all heard of Birchbox?
I've never mentioned this on my blog until now but I have a monthly subscription to a beauty sample company called Birchbox.
It is amazing. It is like Christmas every month!
& who doesn't love Chistmas?!?!
I wasn't sure if I should post anything on here but I've had this subscription for over a year now & I am totally head over heels for it, so I thought I'd share the love :)

What I love about it is you get 4 samples {1 usually a very deluxe  sample or full size product},
 for only 10 dollars a month!
I'm not one who likes to go into stores and buy new products without ever testing them, I'm not that much of a risk taker ;)
But with Birchbox it broadens your horizons and lets you sample products for a small cost every month.
Every month you get free shipping on that months "picks", so if there is a product you fall in love with you are still getting a discount!
& for every dollar you spend you get a point with Birchbox, for every 100 points you get a $10 credit towards any full size product they have.
Over time it really adds up and you get a bunch of fun new beauty products for a low cost!

If you are interested in getting Birchbox click here to sign up.

Now that I've explained this a bit more here is a look at my Birchbox this month:
{Sorry for the picture quality, I decided after the fact to put this on the Blog so it's from my handy dandy cell phone}

This month Birchbox teamed up with Glamour Magazine,
their July Issue's theme was the 5 senses of summer;  See it, Heart it, Taste it, Touch it, Smell it.

Each month a cute little note is added in with the box telling you what the theme for that month is and some background info on that months box. On the back of it it lists the products that were in your box and a description for each month.

So what was in my box?
See it: Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in black
{love the fact that I was about to buy eyeliner that day but got this in my Birchbox, it's like they read my mind!}
See it: Color Club Nail Polish: Summer Pastels Collection; Blue Ming
{Already used it & love it!, it's a great fun summer color}
Touch it: Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint
{I have completely fallen in love with this brand! Every time I get something by them in my Birchbox I have a hard time finding something negative to say about it}
Smell it: Harvey Prince; Hello Perfume
{Can't say I liked this all too well, it's too much of a flower smell for my taste}
Taste it:  LARABAR uber; Bananas Foster {yum, and only 110 calories!}
Hear it: Neon Earbuds + Glamour Spotify playlist
{really excited about these, had to rock paper scissor with my husband for them haha!}

So what do you think? Do you want to sign up for Birchbox if you aren't signed up already?
Click here to sign up for $10/month. It has led me to soo many good brands & products that I can't believe I never knew about!
Let me know what you think of this months Birchbox!
